Sitting here in Richmond hill, Ga.
Got our crane unlded at the port today.
Look on the ld/ boards and all I see is baby chickens. cheap cheap cheap.

Does anybody have a news link about the bad wreck on I16 west bound side that happened this morning.
We came through and they were clearing out the cars and trucks. Was not a pretty sight to see. This would of been around the 33 mp.

 

Not hauled anything that small out of there myself.
Had a 45k lb 950 today, with another tomorrow, then a 966 and 972 I think for next week, going to Lincoln.
Amazing how most of our guys turn their nose up at this short stuff. I can do a few runs, and still put @$2k in my pocket after fuel, and get every weekend off. They would rather ##### about there being no freight and sit around I guess....Oh well.
I will be back in Aurora tomorrow PM to grab the machine, as Ziegler is closed Saturdays in Bloomington IIRC, and I would rather be sat in the yard empty for the weekend where I can (ab)use their electric hookups for my heater etc
Not to mention the almighty Walmart and a real laundromat to do laundry!
Oh, BTW, in Rochester again.

972 is the biggest one they make in Aurora right?

 

Oh no!
I have pulled 980's out of there a couple of times, but I think they still do the bigger ones than that too. 988, 992, etc.

I couldn't remember which my buddy said was the biggest the make there. I do know it is the smallest one for the mining class of loaders. Things freakin massive though!

 

The really big ones are @4 loads to get the machine delivered!

I ran into 2 guys pulling some BIG ### dozers Monday afternoon. They both had 8 axle set-ups and them dozers dwarfed the trucks. Looked like a fun load to be honest....

 

Ran into a truck pulling a 18' wide dump box once on a 2 lane in TX. he had lots of escorts, but I had to pull off into the grass for him to go by..crazy!!
