I have pulled a 20' wide box out of Laredo one time, to SD IIRC.
The routing in Tx was typically retarded, and involved a LOT of 2 lane etc. Police escorts in towns and so on.
The loaders are OK to haul, easier than some of the machinery Cat makes, as the tie downs are always in the "right" place!
I dont mind doing them myself, an easy load in comparison to some of the dozers due to some states getting whiny about chaining to the tracks!
When I had my 4 axle, I did a 992 with the tires on it. Was a shorter haul from Wy to a ND mine. Now that make a big trailer and truck look miniscule!

I have hauled the 992 and 994 model out of Aurora when I had my big trl. and was at the other company.
We hauled one 992 to Savannah 2 years ago that was Going to Thailand..
Ok, So we get home about 3 weeks later and stop at the Cat dealer about 10 klicks east of our house. Show them the pics of it on our trl and give them the ld. info. Asking if they know when it will be in and where in Thailand it was going..
Dumb looks on their face. My wife was getting mad at them.
So I email their main office, never did get a reply...

I am empty. I unloaded today, after we had to call a wrecker to get us around a corner 12 miles from the jobsite. This isnt a bad place, but the lot is small.

    Oh, Ok. mty.
Did you have to slide the trl. around the corner or did they pick it and swing ?

There are days when you love to see a big rotator come to save the day...................this was not one of those days. They didnt have anything big enough to lift and swing so they just hooked two onto us and slid us over. The three m's of the Missouri DOT. Monkeys, maps and magic markers.
