The colemans from Pilot/Flying J are ok, but i prefer a dorm fridge.. depending on what type of truck you have... When I had my kenworth I lowered the top bunk down and threw out the mattress and racheted it to the bunk lol

Saw another drivers in a Cascadia had fridge on top and microwave on bottom, with a ratchet strap around both holding it together.

I forgot to ask what size ProStar you have. If you have one like the guy in post 58 then you may can do it. The one I drove was larger and had a table on each side with straps for microwave and whatever. Fridge wouldn't fit inside it or on top, so I took the shelf out. Then when I decided I wanted a drink now, instead of having to stop for o.e I put it in the passenger seat and lowered it.

I put my dorm fridge in and in the morning I had to take it back out cause for some reason the inverter was not working so its back to step one for me. I just got a cooler for now ill deal with the ice.

I didn't like the coleman, had about 3 or 4 of them and the motor either burned up or didn't keep food cool enough.
I went and bought one of them small dorm fridges a little bigger, and more money but keeps your food cold and last a lot longer.
You can pick them up at wal-mart for $ 90 or so.

the trick i used with the coleman was in the summer i ran some dryer vent hose from my passenger side ac vent to the intake for the fan and it provided cold air from the ac to the fan directly. it kept that stuff 30 degrees colder then the ac provided and didnt have to cool the air from normal ambient air. now being winter it freezes water overnight

A inverter and fridge is the way to go......leave one of those coolers plugged in for 24 hr's and try to start your truck! The fridge actually uses less voltage and it doesn't matter what the temp is outside like a cooler does ( a cooler only cools about 30 degrees colder then temp in the cab)

I got one of the big igloo coolers used at the Goodwill in grand island. Its kinda too big but dang it works good. A lot quiter than coleman little one I had.

*EDIT* tried a mini fridge for a while, but the ratteling and pinging drove me batty!
