Anyone attending Orientation on Tunnel Hill,GA tomorrow 02/09/2013? I'm heading there from FL. Any input from past and present USX Drivers? They sounded like an ok company. The people I talked to on the phone were nice and respectful. Don't know what it'll be like once I start! But so far no complains. Out of all the companies I applied for and talked to they seemed to be on top. Anyway, I am excited about going back over the road!

Thank you! Is that McElroy Truck Lines? They seem to be a very decent outfit! I was doing flatbed work local and I love it, I haven't felt in such great shape since my years in the military. I've lost over 25 pounds and my arms and chest feel like brick wall and sledge hammers. LOL! Not only from strapping but also from physically delivering the freight by hand (lots of roofing materials). Good luck to you and stay safe!

Yep, I'm at McElroy Truck Lines. The week of orientation was great, packed w/info & hands-on stuff. Went by quickly though.

Good luck with US XPress, I just left them a month ago for a more local company. I can honestly say I had no complaints. Was always treated decent and the trucks were nice and well maintained. If your going in as a student driver have patience it make seem like a long time and not be making much but once you cross that hurdle you get your truck and can make a decent living. Good luck.

Airdrop thanks for your reply! I do not think they will put me through training, I have 9 months of OTR experience and almost 2 years total tractor trailer exp. I just wanted to go back OTR and get a few more years of exp with a good company. The local jobs in my area are horrible unfortunately.

Well, orientation was smooth. No issues or anything. Everyone here was nice and they seemed to go the extra mile to help drivers with the process. Just waiting on a truck now and I cant wait to hit the road again!
