no a 1 year is fine.. but you will get a 2 year with that bp.. just dont eat salt and exercise for a few days before you go ... ull be fine

 

I think he wants to know about bmx and willl they make him take a sleep apnea test ?

 

I dont think they have a bmi requirement ... as long as you pass your physical ... we have a big boy .. prob 5'8" and 350 in the class right now.. I have seen no sleep studies ect.... Pretty much just have your permit and physical in hand when you show up.

 

Good advice Powder about no salt , exercise i would add fast 9pm night before till physical also when waiting for physical in waiting room take deep breaths through nose exhale through mouth it will lower your blood pres ...good luck

 

Sometimes you can get them to check it twice.. just tell them doctors make you nervous or something.. and if they can recheck it. I know mine has been high before like 150/90 ..then they will retest and its 120/79 and Im 5'9 190.. Good luck.... If you want to know more about Millis .. you should post in the millis section. Yeah, lots of people get 'white coat fever'. Also check both arms, one is usually lower than the other.

 

Aspirin before a med exam (1/2 hr or so) will drop your blood pressure about 8-10 notches,but Caffeine or Juice (acidity drinks) will raise it the opposite way.
