thanks for the info. I thought that I read that lumpers would be covered by the broker. In my past experience with brokers, they have covered them. As far as tolls, if you have a load that is going to be on tolls roads, what does Swift do, turn off your pike or EZ Pass or just deduct from your settlement later. It sounds like it good be a good deal, but not something to use all of the time. Only if push comes to shove and depending on your location. Wait one day for Swift to come up with something, or be proactive and take a less paying load just so that you can roll. Also needing to make sure that there is enough in the rate that mt miles will be covered.
As far as Mentors, was talking to a Mentor here in PHX Friday, and he is on the program. Just right now he is not training.

As far as when you should or shouldn't use a brokered load, it's really up to you, It doesn't impact Swift one way or the other. They make money when you pull thier loads and they get a cut when you pull broker loads. My approach is to do what is best for me. If I'm in a good high pay freight area or can make more revenue by dead heading to get a load in good area, I'll go with the broker. -

As a owner operator you deliver to point B and clear a dock with signed papers and turn them in, how long does it take for settlements on the load? -
Mystic, there is one question that I just though about> As we know, MAC 30 18 hours prior to PTA. How soon can we call the broker and see how the freight is looking, like on a 3 day run. Can we call 24-48 hours b4 arrival and mt.

Thanks again, with that in mind, can we stack ourselves up with a few loads at a time, lets say short load, Point 1 to B, right away find out what is there at B and hurry and book another, or I wonder if that would be a wise move.
