In a year u will have expierence so more options will be open to you. If you decide to stay or move on dont let that affect your decision. Start driving and get the exp.

I started in the van division, switched to flatbed.. Best decision I could of made.

I'm glad your going into this with a open mind and not expecting perfection. Alot of people get into this thinking they are the boss and behind every decision but since this is forced dispatch (company side atleast) you have no options on where they send you. Now... They will work with you, if I didn't like the state I was going into and felt that the times they were sending me into it was unsafe they'd change the ETA or have me relay it. Building a great, reliable relationship with you fleet manager is the only thing you need to focus on at the beginning. I'm not talking about kissing his/her butt but always be respectful no matter how you feel you've been treated. Goes along way.

Be on time, never say you can't do it. Say you will try your best. The computer will email them if it thinks your going to be late. (I just learned this). Though, if you think your going to be late call in and warn them just incase. You don't want Roehl getting fined for being late, because that will surely put them on your bad side for a minute.

Roehl is a great company, strong, and I truly believe one of the better ones. No regret coming to roehl, and I will tell anyone who asks me the same. Welcome to Roehl driver.
