Yes, yes and kinda yes. They don't like you to idle and the trucks have automatic shut-offs. With the APU you really don't need to idle anyway.

My husband and I like Melton, the ppl are (mostly) friendly and helpful. Your suposed to help your fellow driver, even when they have the bad luck of working for someone else ;P. I don't sugar coat nothin, their are things my husband and I don't like about Melton, but going to another company the same things could turn up or worse things. Funny but we dislike different things to.
Drive your hrs, do your securement in a timely fashion and the money is their. Fiddle-fart around, sleep in and park early and well your paycheck will reflect that. I don't mean kill yourself either. . . Common sense, is a great word, use it.

My advice. . . There is no such thing as to many pairs of gloves.

They have Apu's AND inverters , can't idle to save your life but thats what hotels are for when everything breaks down lol.

I have only had 1 issue and it was because I wanted to park above 7000 feet for the night , the bunk heater hated it and only lit every other time , totally my fault - even dumb people know high altitude messes with fuel burning. I was able to stay warm and I didn't feel like going to a hotel anyways so it all worked out. I haven't heard the word fiddle fart in a while aireal , thanks.
fiddle fart fiddle fart fiddle fart.

I'm glad ya'll like my errr language. I actually use it, speaking.

hmmm I think I read that theirs a company that pays you for 2500 miles a week weather you run them or not.... course they probably expect you to leave the truck stop. I could be wrong about that, maybe they pay you for startin the truck up once a day and making sure the load is still there?

hmmm I might need to apply to that one, I ain't got a CDL, but I can turn a key with the best of them.... and lord knows I like the salad bar at the Petro's.

The tri-pack don't work well over 7000 ft? good to know... dang the things this FL girl learns when she gets outa the swamp.

What else about Melton? hmmm Hey I know.. if you don't like tight spaces, you might wanna rethink takeing a shower in the El Paso yard... coffin sized shower. Towels and wash cloths... they don't provide them so have your own.

    All-American82 and jomar68 Thank this.

I have never taken a shower in that el paso coffin. I'm platinum at petro, so my showers dont expire....I just take the 6 mile hike off duty driving and get me a man sized shower at the petro. :)

Lucky you, I didn't have much of a problem, I'm short and not that big. . .My hubby on the other hand, said he would have prefered a hose outside.
