Yes, many other companies also have APUs. Prime also gives their OTR drivers 48" midroof sleepers with DD13s and locks them at 55MPH. No room, No power, and No speed.

Not entirely true. While there are some mid roofs, I would say 90 percent of the trucks at prime are full double bunks. Yes, they all have APUs. Most are running DD15s or ISX.

Prime is only governed at 62, 65 for lease drivers. If you cannot maintain a good mpg, they will put you down to 58 if you are company. With the amount of equipment on the truck, the average speed of a driver for prime is 56 miles per hour at about 1200 to 1250 rpm. But that's only because it is the recommended benchmark set forth by prime company policy.

I drove for prime until October of last year. I know.

    Let me amend that.

They do have quite a bit of light weights in their refer division. I was flat bed, so this escaped my thoughts.

But the rest of what I said is true.

Honestly, I don't see how these guys are running xbox's and tv's unless they are on a 34 restart. When I was OTR, I would park for my 10 hour break. By the time I was done eating and taking a shower I was so tired I would go to bed. I didn't have time for xbox.

Get a LED TV. It uses LEDs for backlighting which consume very little power compared to a standard LCD. Mine is a 26 inch LED LCD made by Sansui. It only uses a max of 34 Watts of power.

The new slim xbox 360s only pull about 90 Watts of power.

I've played many games of Call of Duty online while sitting in docks waiting to be loaded/unloaded. I also frequently used it to watch Netflix.

It is also nice to have for when you do a reset on the road. I don't know about you, but I don't want to go sit at the Dennys counter all day or just sit in my empty box silently.

Then there was the whole "freight is soft" excuse for making a driver take a 20 hour break.

I'm doing a reset right now sitting at a flying j and I'm bored out if my mind. I slept for 10 hours last night so I'm not tired. Unfortunately I forgot my computer at home. I haven't had a chance to install my TV into my new truck yet so i have nothing but my smartphone to occupy me for the day until I leave tomorrow.

admittedly I have never been much of an xbox guy. When sitting in a dock I have my laptop. When I was OTR and took a 34 I always made sure I was somewhere with something to do. Took a 34 at our yard in KC once, with an amusement park across the street. I couldn't sit in my truck for 34 hours playing video games.

I am sure it is different for everyone, but when I park for my 10 hour, after my shower and eating, I may get on the internet for a few minutes, but then I go to sleep.
