No joke... not an insider posing (I am happy to past my home phone and you can call me directly at home to verify)... but I am very definately green and open to great suggestions. I will take your advice and look into Crete.

What makes Crete better than Swift?:biggrin_25515:

I chose Swift because it was the best thing that fit my situation at the time and so far it has worked out really well. I meet alot of drivers at Swift that have problems because they refuse to follow the rules such as not turning down loads, not working the macro 10 properly, trying to sneak hometime and running out of route to do so and then complain when they are sitting because of there own actions. It's always two sides to every story but here you will only hear one side of the story. It's easy to complain about a company when they can't defend themselves in a public forum. Swift is not perfect and there are some driver managers that could use some training in people skills but thats with any company the size of Swift. I run out of Memphis and been to many of the other terminals and would say the for driver comfort Memphis is terrible but I try not to hang out at any terminal for any lenght of time anyway. I do what I need to get done and hit the road again. I just got a brand new 2008 Volvo right before xmas. This is my second truck in ten months of time. My first truck was a 2003 Freightliner. It wasn't pretty but it ran good and I kept it clean and I knew if I kept a clean record that i would be first to get a new one when the time came.

I got on a dedicated account after 6 months because I worked hard to keep my record clean. I get home every week and I got home for thanksgiving and xmas and didn't even have to ask for it. I am not perfect and try to learn from my mistakes.

    Good luck.

I think half the people on here should take a critical thinking class before reading these posts.:yes2557:
Every company is going to have it's good as well as it's bad points. I personally would never go back to Swift, but I know several drivers that are still with them, that are happy with them. I got screwed over, they didn't.
But I am not on here posting half truths, and calling names..... that's simply not giving out the facts. Beware of any posts on any threads, (or in real life conversations....) words that are clearly stating opinions and not facts.
Swift screwed me out of 3 weeks pay. That's a fact. :biggrin_25521:

How did you lose 3 weeks of pay? Are you saying you were just not paid for work you did. Did they not pay due to bol's not turned in? Or was it they took money for something that happened, that amounted to about 3 weeks of pay. If your owed money, let me know and I will look into it. The system is automated, trip envelope is filled out, bol and log put in, and you are paid. I personally would like to know how this process broke down so I can bring it to the attention of others.

So Vicki you actually do work for Swift,,, huh? That is pretty cool. Today I was speaking with Cindy Bouch about getting me a package to come aboard with the SWIFT team. I am looking forward to this. Hope to see you out there someday soon.

Hey, VickW, don't try to dictate to me what to post and what not to post. Got it? Good. You know that is futile anyway, right? Of course you do. Like I said before--I don't come here to make friends. SwiftQuit has made its bed and now must sleep in it. Anything here or on "Ripoffreport dot com" is something JerryCo has brought all on itself.

You're sounding more and more like a recruiter with every post. The only agenda I have is making sure folks have ALL the information available to them before making the critical decision of choosing which outfit to hire on with or avoid like the plague. Who's gonna remind those people of the 600 drivers who quit M.S. Carriers the day SwiftQuit bought them out? You, VickW? When it comes to the average SwiftQuit insider, the "lie of omission" is the norm. Hey, bud--the lie of omission is still a lie where I come from. Be sure you tell your recruits about that great quit day, or the fact many green drivers are trained there by trainers who are themselves wet behind the ears.

I push an outfit like Crete because it's worth pushing. I bash the likes of SwiftQuit, England, and JobHunt because they have it coming. I know I have many who will back me up here, and most of these guys aren't blowing hot air. They're sensible people who got treated wrongly by bad outfits. And by now, those guys form a small army. Many of those have done time at the driver pen known as SwiftQuit.

Anytime you come through the Swift terminal in Houston just ask to see Wes. I have an open door policy so more then welcome to come by. Let me know how everything goes.
