1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I am relocating to Alamosa, CO due to my wife's job. The trucking company I drive for now does not run in Colorado. I am having a hard time finding trucking companies that run in that area. I am fine with driving locally or OTR, just want to be domiciled in Alamosa. Can anyone give me some trucking company names I can contact? Thanks for the help.

Hi Kyle, Im looking for driver who would meet Landstar requirements. Making money and having family time is important to me! With Landstar your boss, dispatcher and owner of truck are the same so there is no dealing with large company chain of command to make things happen. Must have or be willing to obtain hazmat license. Contact me for more details. Aaron 407-618-4143

Lots of taters coming out of that valley. Used to get really good rates out of those taters around there.

How many times did you have to make them reload your trailer so that all the weight, (all 135,000 pounds of it,) was not on your drive axles?:biggrin_25513:

Lol. I never had much problem hauling taters. If it was out of Idaho, Colorado, Michigan...ect. Just always make sure they load it right by ALWAYS being on the dock. Not to mention, making sure u didnt short urself. Be safe out there drivers.

DOCK? WHAT DOCK? I used to load right out of the fields. They'd run that conveyor belt into the trailer, and bulk load the darn things. I don't know that I ever had 135,000 pounds on, but I do know that they dumped into the front of the trailer one time, with an inexperienced crew, and a driver, (me) who was trying to catch some bunk time. . .:biggrin_25513:
