What makes it so obvious to you that I am a recruiter, just because you are not smart enough to research a company before you work for them, so you think all companies suck. There is more out there than Werner my friend.formertaxidriver and Jrdude5 Thank this.
-
Good comeback and like you say. Research, research and do your homework.
-
Gotta be a recruiter. Sounds like a glorious company! Haha! You know its too good to be true. I've heard alot of trash talk from their company drivers over the chatter box. Whoever just stated that there's more options than Werner just graded this company to a low standard.
-
He's not a recruiter, nor am I. That would be John Z, he drives a desk at OIX. Sorry you are so jaded that you hate on anyone that has something good to say about a company. I don't work there anymore (I moved back to Hawaii for health and to care for my elderly mother) but my "exit interview" consisted them handing me back my $500 pet deposit and telling me I always have a home. The owner called me before I left, checking on me (I'd been ill) and let me tell you, David Orscheln is a beautiful man a was great to work for and with.
Don't get me wrong, it's not all perfect, but it's the closest I've ever been to perfection. I don't know that I'll ever drive OTR again in my life, but if I do, OIX will be the company I work for.Jrdude5, bullhaulerswife, Rocks and 2 others Thank this. -
my brother in law says the same thing he works there if you dont like it dont post here it is a good company

are they on electronic logs? what speed is the trucks set at? any health ins? rider policy? can you fuel at any truckstop or just certian ones?
-
Elogs, yes. Simplest form of Peoplenet. No in truck editing of lines 1,3 or 4, you have to call in to safety for that.
Trucks governed at 65mph.
Blue Cross Blue Shield starts at the beginning of your first full month. It's not expensive, but the deductible is a bit high. You can use a health savings account for that.
Rider policy from day one.
They prefer you fuel at Pilot/Flying J as they get a good discount there. Emergencies, where Comdata is accepted. They have their Comdata card blocked in PA and GA so if you mess up and need to fuel, you have to call and get a Comdata check for it.
Hope that helps.logisticlymissplaced and Jrdude5 Thank this. -
Just FYI, anytime you accuse a drive of being a recruiter, it's a serious offense. That's why you got such a reply.
If you feel the need to dish out such comments, you better be able to take some in response.
Whether you believe it or not, there are drivers that post in various forms on this site who like their company because the company is actually good. This does not make them a recruiter. What it tells me is they have found a good place to work; understand the bs other companies put drivers thru; and want to inform others of what they have experienced so drivers can make an informed decision.
Plus the fact that it was your first post on this website has the potential to label you a troll. An unwelcome troll.
So I would say the reply to your initial comment was within your "parameters".
BTW, welcome to TTR. Hopefully you can redeem yourself and be a valued contributor.48Packard, THE ROOKIE, Jrdude5 and 4 others Thank this. -
thanks fpr the reply thanks.
