I used to ride with air, but every time I hit a 'dip' in the road...WHAM! The seat would bottom out, which caused a sudden stop in downward movement, which led to low back surgery after a few years. Hell, I-5 between Tacoma and Marysville is soooo bad, I used to see 6" of daylight under my trailer tires! (spring ride skateboard)

Now I cruise with no air and have NO issues whatsoever. (Sears Elite 80)

stretch out the hip flexor muscles and the hamstrings. Sitting tends to shorten these guys up, and when you want to stand up, they pul on the lower spine.
