If you are considering leaseing on with Quaility Carriers affiliates GULF COAST EXPRESS, (they are the terminals in Louisianna) DON'T! This new owner Bob Werner took over and changed everything for the worse. He took away the mileage guarantee. They don't have hardly any backhaul freight, and they won't let you wait for any because they say they need their trailer back. So you have to come back to home terminal at your expence! Most tolls are not reimbursed, you have be careful about your pay because they try not to pay demurrage if you dont stay on them. Their trailers SUCK, poor maintence and they NEVER wash them! They are also fixing to go to computer logs. These people are doing everything they can possiably do to make their drivers make less money, so it is time for me to bid them farewell!!!

QC is real anal with the e-logs . They have a corporate speed limit of 65 mph and every time you exceed 65 they get a speed violation report . The same with hard braking .

Most of the terminals are affiliate owned and you work for the affiliate owner , not QC . The pay and benefits vary with each affiliate . Tampa runs the show as far as safety goes . If they tell an affiliate owner to get rid of a driver the driver is gone .

    Robertetritsch Thanks this.

Looks like all these bulk carriers play the same game.

That's ridiculous. As long as the speed isn't excessive what's the big deal. My company only brings it up if you are shown to exceed 80 mph, which is not hard to do on that long hill on I-10 west between Sierra Blanca, TX and El Paso.
