Lumber can walk out of their bundle also, can put one end up on a 4x4 and other on the deck . Put a strap across the middle and pull the heck out of it . Makes it bow a little bit, locking them in .

U need two straps in front n back but the 10 ft rule dont always apply. U need straps to be of equal or greater load weigh than that of cargo. Different straps have different strenghts. Someone correct me if im wrong. And I dont know guy but a fractured cranium is just as bad in my book. If u tie down right and take it slow u wont loose a load.
-
I can already see 5 things wrong
-
rage 10ft rule always applies 2on front 2 on rear and every 10ft in between, the only way 10ft rule varies is on oversize loads when it's impossanle to get every 10ft. and alwasy match load weight. you can never have to much securment,DOT will not give them tickets out.

What are the 5 things wrong? The weights were moved after the picture, they had them stacked 2 high all on one side, I took the 2 off and put them even on the floor. They had planned for another pallet of tables in the empty space, thats why they were stacked 2 high all on the same side

Min two straps on any thing , also.

Druss 17 ,there is a big gap between the pallets in the middle.
No way you can secure that.
So load it so that the pallets don't have any air between them in the middle.
Strap at the front and at the back off each pallet.
And if you really want to be safe, before they load the pallets, put a strap in the middle off each pallet.
Thru the middle off the pallet itself so that those boards are secure on the pallet itself. -
it looks like the straps go around the boards to hold them together on the pallet ?
-
Yes they do, this picture was taken before anything was even strapped down. The straps you see in the picture are securing the tables to the pallet for loading pourposes but I did put only one strap over each stack. I didnt not take part in the loading and hand stacking 2-3000 tables would have taken forever, because I mentioned the gap between the stacks and wanted it fixed but my company said it was not an option. If there is a gap between whatever your loading when you tighten your straps its going to cause the tops to bow into eachother. I just had to take it like it is and had no other choice.
