And please for the love of god, do proper pre-trips on trailers and get issues fixed instead of leaving them for others to deal with. I cannot tell you how many times I have swapped with another driver and Im in the process of doing my pre-trip on their trailer, and they just hook and take off.

AAHHHH YES, Thats sounds oh so familiar. I always get my trlrs fixed. Its bad JuJu to pass on broken equipment. Nothing pisses me off more than lazy drivers knowing its broken and leaving it for another driver.

Just a quick note about DSW,(Digby Southwest) aka. SWIFT. some of their policies are not the best, they do have some really good people that work there and that do their best to keep you the driver happy. They are better to work for than some other companies, and because they are an O/O lease on to SWIFT, they have alot of freight. At least in my experience they did. They were not all that bad.

Not going to down them at all. Every company has their goods and bads. But you are right. It all depends on the attitude you come in with. Efon is also right. Please if you see something wrong get it fix. Weather it be on your way to pick up/ drop off or if it is something that needs fixing right away even throu you will loss the load on a swap. It is all about safety and being safe.
Well at home now. So I am going to get off here for a while. Have a good weekend everyone.platinum Thanks this. -
I hear ya, It is all about SAFETY 1st, making a dollar, and getting home to the ones who you love. Ive lost more than a few loads fixing someone else's over sight, Id rather lose a load than hurt someone or myself, or tear up equipment. Nice to chat with ya, Thanks again for the info on FRE. Y'all have a great weekend.

I'll say this about swift; I worked for them for about a year and a half. They paid me every week, and it wasn't a bad experience. However there is no comparison between FRE and swift. Daniel is right about the freedom here, but remember that it comes with more responsibility. This is a place for grown up drivers who don't want to be micro managed or have to miser every minute of their day. I really am happy here. This is the first company I've ever worked for that actually cares what their drivers have to say. I know its been said before, but no company is perfect. Its not all sunshine and lollipops, but if you can deal with the problems, this is a great place to work.
holycow Thanks this. -
Dear Gabby,Efon,Holycow and Plat are ok for the small stuff but for unlimited knowledge ask me, lol
FRE has great people to work with.holycow Thanks this. -
Maybe all that unlimited knowledge is slowing you down?
holycow Thanks this. -
Maybe you would get more miles if you play dumb,
