New Jersey's new technology uncovers fraudulent CDLs, other IDs
New Jersey Investigators have suspended hundreds of drivers licenses and CDLs after facial recognition software showed multiple IDs linked to the same faces. Prosecutors announced charges against 38 individuals tied to the investigation, including a commercial bus driver who used a dead mans identity to get his CDL and a tanker hauler who used two false identities for CDLs.

Not quite big brother - the machine is simply doing what people could do by manually comparing pictures, but at a much higher rate.

Washington State uses facial recognition with the Enhanced DL as well as the Ports for TWIC cards. This is a good thing in my opinion. With so many odd people running aroung planet earth, its good to know who is human and if they are in fact whom they say they are.

More like Skynet (Terminator).
I'm sure someone had to go through the list of computer-generated matches and look at each "match" individually.
If not, I'm sure someone is getting sued big time.VisionLogistics Thanks this. -
Agreed, but 38 is a lot less costly than several hundred thousand.
And that's 38 less unqualified CDL drivers out there that were driving freight rates down

i agree
skynet is here, and sadly, many of us welcome it with open armsVisionLogistics Thanks this. -
Whatever new technology is developed and used to weed out fraudulent CDLs will not be nearly enough to offset the amount of tech that is just purely intrusive.
We're already on the slippery slope so many have feared, and not just in this industry, but society-wide.EZX1100, VisionLogistics and Roadmedic Thank this. -
