Totally agree my biggest problem was we ran in and out of chicago and there are no places to hide near there. Would wind up needing 2hrs 10 min to get to customer or yard and have to stop 2 hrs away not to violate or get stuck on the side of the road 2hrs today make it up tomorrow you've lost 4hrs. No I don't work there anymore!

Its a double edged sword.
Easier to get the office jackals off your back if you're running low on hours and they're trying to ram a load up your ##s..."look at my HOS, boss." They can't hassle you because they can see your logs just as easily as you can. (Assuming they know the basics of trip planning of course...one of the dummies I deal with doesn't seem to but I digress.)
the bad news: they can see your logs, which is what Rocks is getting at. All those minor 5-10 minute violations while you were looking for that perfect parking spot at the truck stop were non-events that were easily back logged on paper. Nobody knew, nobody cared. Now you've got the safety dept on your butt for going over 1 minute on any of your clocks when you're electronic, so in theory paper allows you to run a tad bit harder while still staying legal(ish) when it's just between you and god. Electronic forces you to shut down well short of your clocks to stay out of trouble if it looks iffy on time. -
Anyone else having problems with it not taking info? Go on sleeper, wake up & the #### thing says still on duty & now have no hours to drive. Company will fine the driver if they edit it. This has been a constant problem with two different companies on three different trucks .

I've not seen such an issue per se but with my current Qualcomm, it's SUPER slow. Must have a processor that can process maybe 15 instructions per second. Sometimes it gets "busy" after you stop with the stupid hour-glass, and can take 5-10 seconds before it will accept any command presses, and when you think maybe it was ready, try and press something, and nothing. With mine, I've learned to be patient with it, and double check it later to insure whatever selection I made took.
I can also tell you that the latest updates have made them not behave like they used to and some of the ways you could used to "cheat" the system don't work, but there are still a few cheats that do work to conserve time in some situations.
