My husband liked Critters answer. But his comment is he wouldn't work for "that" company. You should have everything you need for any type load or the ability to buy it and get reembursed. He also said he wouldn't move until HE thought the load was secured properly. But if you are anywere near Lakeland, he would be more than happy to give you some of our extra 4" straps.
Criticism/comments please - load securement

Yea what "critters" said, aside from adding a few straps on some of the bigger items everything looks great. The biggest thing is how much does the load weigh and I hevent figured it out yet but what is the commodity? I usually carry 25 straps on my truck, 14-4" on winch track, 4-4" portable winches, 8-2" portables. I have had a few loads where I have used every winch. YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY STRAPS. Something can happen, straps get cut, straps fall out occasionally, it is good to have back ups.
Also sometimes I put twist in my straps, and sometimes I dont. If I can tighten down on something REAL TIGHT then I dont worry about a twist as much as something that might be fragile (such as a pallet of cardboard boxes), in this case I would put a twist in it. Or if it is a shipping container I am hauling, they are high, I will put a twist in that so it doesnt slap the side of the container. Just a word of advice if you put a twist in a strap look at everywhere the strap touches where the twist occurs to make sure it wont get cut on any sharp edges. -
That's mighty sweet of you Arieal, tell him thanks!

My hubby said he was taught to put a twist on untarped loads to cut down on vibration, which could cause the strap to loosen. . . Or some words to that effect, I can't type as fast as he talks. LOL
