Hair tests

Just give them a stool sample. It says that all.

 

If the transportation manager where I work tries to personally get a sample of my beeutiful locks he better at least buy me dinner first. No subway either. If a company has a policy of taking hair samples for testing don't they have to have the policy posted or stated in a handbook, etc.? Just curious.

 

You would think so but who knows maybe it is in their handbook.

 

I believe 90 percent of money in the US has cocaine residue on it. 95 percent of the tops of toilets in bars in the UK have cocaine residue on them also! The only part of this hair test story that intrigues me is the fact that they wash the hair before the test so that all foreign agents are removed. If you are around people smoking crack, heroin, and marijuana to where you have residue so thick you are worried you are going fail a test you definately do not belong in a truck. I agree with everyone when they say that if you question the drug testing procedures then you belong in a different field. Drugs, drinking and driving DO NOT mix! Fo eva eva!

 

So what happened? Did you find work somewhere else or did you fight this?

 

No hair tests arent done with the root. Ive taken plenty of them. They cut the hair only and test the hair itself. Its illegal for a company to take the root of a hair because DNA can be obtained from the root. If a person is bald they take the hair sample from the armpits or the arm or leg. The testing will work from any body hair. And the shorter the hair the less time they can go back for testing. they can go back aprox a month or two per inch of hair

 

say you went to dentist had teeth cut out dr. gives you pain meds , its gonna show up ion do i takein hair sample what action doi take to protect my job? and my choice of work sounds like no chai liken of custidy involed like urine sample or protocal

 

they will take it from your underarm or somewhere else

 

How about if you hurt or kill someone by doing something stupid - you go to jail? Regardless of what it was?

I'm not sure why killing someone while driving under the influence is any worse than killing someone because youre texting or putting on makeup or stuffing your face. Its all selfish. Do victims families feel any better if a loved one was killed because someone was texting rather than being drunk? I don't think I would.

 

How about a lie detector test asking if we come to work high instead of invading what citizens do after work. Since drugs are on the bottom list to cause an accident in the trucking industry. Or how about a reaction test before even starting the truck? Safety is not company priority. Blaming drivers for everything are companies goals nowadays. Several people are subjected to stripping down in front of randomly selected individuals, not doctors, before taking a urine test. Imagine that! You have to show your naked parts to someone, who may be of the opposite sex and not professional doctors, just to get a job at a retail store. Humiliating! We can blame druggies or we can blame insurance companies. I chose the latter.
