Paid by case count, line items, pick ups, mileage, idle bonus, speed bonus, quarterly bonus, lay over pay, etc.
DOT is a good company to work for, I've been in their warehouse for over 3 years in Liverpool. They paid for me to go to NTTS, well almost all of it, I haven't heard of many companies that take care of their employees like that. There was 9 of us in classroom training last week and I know there was 2-4 at the end of last year. I'm not sure how many more they are looking to take on. G'luck on getting in!

Anybody have any insight into the "Part-time Transfer Driver" position in Mt. Sterling? As a part-time transfer driver, do you make less turns a week than a full-time transfer driver or do you make the same amount of turns etc.? I guess what I'm asking is, other than not receiving any benefits, can anyone tell me what the real difference is between the two? Can you make a decent living as a "Part-time Transfer Driver", are you on call 24/7 (extra board so to speak), would you run more on the weekends than weekdays or is there a healthy mixture, can you have a halfway decent family life, can you make enough money part-time to meet your monthly financial responsibilities (food, utilities, car payment, health insurance etc.)? If anyone that drives for DTI can answer these questions, especially if you run out of the Mt. Sterling DC (and be specific if you don't mind), I would be grateful. Thank you very much!

Modesto, one DC ill probably never make it out to but would love to see it. Seeing all the DC's let's you have a look at possibly transferring and moving out of state if you like another area.
