Knight is not bad at all please remember before you make a judgement, knight is non forced dispatch and wether you like it or not company drivers are the biggest bunch of crybabys around, dont bash me now I listing to ya'll talk at the truck stop and on the cb "i never chain" "they wont get me home every weekend" welcome to trucking like it or leave it YOU choose this life style complain to yourself, anyways I now work for Knight after May F-ed me, it took a week or two to show my dispatcher how I run and if you stay out west ive never been below 3K a week so put those f--king chains on, and stop saying no to loads and roll.
and another thing knight is a home every weekend company (if you choose) its either miles or hometime....sorry -
Thats what I liked about Knight, non forced dispatch, home more often then I wanted, always worked with me as far as certain days off, etc.. HOWEVER, Ive noticed that Knight is the Great Co. on the western states, and always heard bad things from codrivers from the eastern states about how bad they are. I stayed WEST and was very happy! DRIVE SAFE

so your makeing 3,000.00 a week as a company driver?? now is that miles or money????
-
That's news to me! I drove for them for 6 months ( i think, maybe longer ) and when they sent me a preplan i had to take it. I ran out of the Charlotte NC location. -
You mentioned out of North Carolina!!! I heard nothing but bad things from those Knight drivers from the East.. Thats why I stayed WEST. Most of there freight is in the WEST, so no wonder you had to take those loads, or you probably would have been sitting alot. And yes, Knight is NON FORCED DISPATCH... But that doesnt mean your dispatcher wont try and make you take a load. If I lived in the East I wouldnt even consider Knight.

It's MILES.

Does knight have a policy that you can't drive between the hours of 12am and 5am? Or something like that?

I was in the same spot your in ,but if you try the smaller company`s you can get otr or regional work as well.
an too tell you the truth there`re much better then the bigger companys. you won`t ,but not impossible , get one of those big fancy tk`s but you will likely have a better job.
