Q: Why dont swift drivers answer their #### cb's? I mean when i pass them and see the cb mic hanging i know you have one. i saw this swifty today that had a mud flap dragging, 3 drivers including myself tried to get ahold of him, i even pulled up next to him and was pointing, yup... ignored..
so i called swift and said i was a driver from another co. and yer driver has issues with his trailer and wont look at us trying to flag him down...

common swift, lets get with the program...

 

Here at the Jubitz in Portaland. After yesterday afternoon and last night, decided to push my PTA out. Think that I got some bad coffee the other morning. They cleaned the urns, and did not rinse completely. Comming out both ends, and just to ##### tired to try and make Lewiston today. Still need to take a 34 when get there. Have 17 hours on my 70, and do not pick up anything for 2 days. Not a good way to start the week off with a new student.

 

still sitting at the phoenix terminal. 5 days today waiting for a truck. ady in tractor assignment said i waas first on thwe list, to come back at 14:00. message my dl and he said that sqwift is having a big hiring push and having hard time keeping up with the trucks.

 

VA on I-81 at a Pilot, and glad to be done for the day.

All day it was DING>>>DING>>>DING>>>DING>>>DING>>>DING>>>DING...
My seat belt sensor went south, so it didn't think I was buckled up.

Finally got here and called the shop. Asked if I jumpered the wires would it cause any problems. They said no, so I did.
The seat belt light is off and the jumper wire didn't heat up, so I think I'm good to go until I can get it replaced.

 

finally got a truck. 2014 freightliner cascadia. 17 miles on it. drover around to the fuel island to get fuel and it sprung a coolant leak. looks like the bottom hose is leaking. took it to the shop and 20 minutes later, they came and started to work on it. glad i went and got fuel now instead of waiting for a load.

 

OH turnpike service plaza ... Drop tomorrow, then grab a broker load back to NY ... this has been a very lucrative week ... over $.61 per mile net.

 

So the 2014 trucks are finally in?

yeah, there's quite a few lined up but don't think she's giving them out to everyone. she said cause i had an older employee number( worked here for 5 months back in '97) she gave me one. still alot of guys waiting for trucks here still.

 

hope thats the reason instead of the one she gave me. not right that i, and everyone else waiting for a truck, to be waiting this long when there's trucks already here. i didn't notice them earlier when i was walking around
