Does landstar use ez pass or pay tolls
Or is it the drivers responsibility? -
Land star covers no tolls of any kind you pay all expenses. RRTS covers no tolls you all expenses. AT Landstar I averaged in 6 months a 1.82 with my trailer at 72% of load. Also I will go to Canada loads pay much better to Canada. I run solo at RRTS I did about 3400 a week almost every week. Here at landstar I do 3k one week then 6k the next almost every other week I bring home 3k then the short week bring home 1700 to 1900. Home time is the same at both if want to sit at home forever no one going to call you ask you to work. Landstar is harder to catch on you have to book your on loads and preplan two or three loads out and work dont be late and dont miss loads you need to be clean at customers and polite. Get black marks at Landstar and the agents wont load you again. In oct I took a load to Halifax N.S. from Cleveland OH one pallet paid 5 dollars a mile like 5400 plus broker pay 200 for tolls then got a load of paper out of Maine for 2200 to Mi (home) 7600 for the week solo this can be done not every week but at lest once of month. All in 6 month I'm at 83000 gross at Landstar I hit it hard for 2 weeks then take 4 to 5 days off and hit it again. You have to be go a getter here or you will not make it. The first 90 day you have a person assigned to you to help you along and try to tell you where you making any mistakes. Also at both you have to track all miles in each state for ifta reporting. Also Landstar is all EBOR or E-logs now but I run log just like e-log you are not going to run e legal at landstar they will terminate in a minute for any thing e legal.

I read you post again I want to make it very clear not everyone at landstar makes money like me. some make alot more. many make less. It totally up to you. I have seen drivers take loads out of Texas for .90 a mile all in I get a load to Toronto canada for 2.60 mile. That how I made money at Landstar. What I'm saying is you are not me so don't think there is an average. YOU must make it work for you. For me I like landstar that is all you should take from this.
thodges Thanks this. -
I agree. I am with them now and wish I would have read the reviews before I came here. They are liars who wouldn't know the truth if it bit them in the butt. Especially those idiots in the Commerce, CA terminal. I'm going to terminate my lease as soon as possible. This company is a joke.
