Because the programers, of the stevens qualcom software are not very smart... that message is a computer generated message, that I would just ignore, after I had sent the QC message to safety. I would call once, and that was it, and I would only wait on hold for 5 minutes.

Made my delivery this morning, but my outgoing load will not be ready until tomorrow. Going to Lebec, CA right down the hill from my brothers house, and my wife is in the vicinity as well on her travels. It doesn't deliver until the 20th at 0700 and I'll be there mid day Tuesday at the latest, so I get to hang out with my little brother and spend the night with my better half before she heads for Oregon.

Got a load from Campbell's soup in Paris to King Sooper. Was gonna stop in OK panhandle but surprise there is a loop now. Stopped at mm8 in CO. What a fun place. So got to shipper with about 4 hrs left for another load assignment. Then came the snow. Decided that MT deadhead north of Aurora was a bad idea (turns out I was right) so I stopped at Flying-J and was actually able to score a pull through there. Next am (Friday)picked up ld to Lorado with a Monday delivery. Learned a lot from that run. Got to see the Stvns lot in Laredo, however I got a call on the way there. Got produce coming out Sunday. When will you be in Laredo? I told them Sat at 8am. Somehow they thought I would have a reset. LD ready at 1400 on Sunday am I can still hook to it within my 14 but will have to stop within 30 min of pickup for a 10. And then will barely be able to make it to Taylor Farms by the 10 am appointment. If I take a 10 starting when I get to yard and roll when available I would get to TF at 1am and then my 14 would end 1 hour before delivery time. I decided to wait until midnight and roll. I was here 45 minutes before 10 am appointment. (Those of you who have delivered are probably shaking your head). I can make my appointment get unloaded and be at the yard b4 my 14 is up for home time. It is now 16:40 still waiting to the dock. My 14 is up and I don't know when they close but I can't move. No room on their property either. Learning a lot here. They want me to take business class but I am scared to lease. The last 1.5 months has been quite an eye opener. I know this is a bad time of year for freight but wow what an experience. Hind sight is 20/20 and I have plenty of fault as to why things didn't go smoothly either but I will be so glad when I figure out the "Steven's" business model. Lots to consider while on home time. But what I can't wait to do is see my son! His grades improved this last six weeks and can't wait to give him a big hug!

Just got new load Assignment... 550 miles deadhead... I acknowledge to load, destination unknown..
Dummy Customer Code, just below half tank on fuel recommendation... no fuel needed.

It is really over 600 miles, I will need fuel. I will also burn my whole clock getting there so will not be able to leave when loaded. If I wait until 2 am to leave, I get a fresh 70, if I leave now I will be able to get loaded and have a little time to leave the shipper but only have have 32 hrs for the next 4 days, counting deadhead time, not knowing where I am going kind of makes that hard to plan. I guess I am going with the reset.

I've been running on recap hours for a couple of weeks now. If I take a reset I'll be losing money. Fortunately the loads have been working out ok. I've only got about 5 hours of driving tomorrow, then deliver the following am. Probably getting a produce load out of Cali. Only getting back 5 or 6 hours a day after tonight, but hopefully it will work out.

This will be my third reset in 6 months, I live on recap hrs for months at a time... I just have no idea where this load is going so hard to plan. It's a high value load.

The dummy code looked good for a second as I scrolled through, I usually look at the destination city beforeI pay attention to the customer. The city they have is Anchorage Alaska LOL
