when i hired on they told me that i would average about 2400 m/wk sometimes more and sometimes less. it really depends on time of year and location

Hey Bundy, hows things goin? How slow is it right now?
-
Just curious as to how many miles youre getting a week.
-
Not only are the mileage reports from you current drivers important, how good are they with layover, detention, and deadhead mileage pay? HHG or practical? What is already in the trucks as far as driver convenience, and what can we add? Another thing, I passed by the main terminal last week and noticed LOTS of new trucks n trailers sitting out front. Do you guys mostly live load or is there a good bit of drop n hook? Curious cause I know Mav drivers store lots of stuff in the tool boxes on the trailers, and I imagine it would be a pain to swap what is "yours" from trailer 2 trailer. I know every truck/trailer has standard equipment, but drivers often use/create things that are helpful in day-day life. I got some things in my tool boxes that other drivers ask "what's that for?" when I pull them out for use.

kay as of right now i am sitting home not doing anything(vacation). when it starts getting cold freight slows down with the housing market like it is it has been pretty slow. as far as miles go only twice in the last 2 months have i ran more than 2k miles.

draggin mav can be tricky sometimes with detention. as far as deadhead miles go we get paid the same if we are loaded or not. a vast majority of loads are live load, most times even if a slow shipper would sooner live load than pick up preload. most preloads are ore work than live load. when i went thru orientation those things that would make life easier they frowned upon(going as far to fire one if necessary that was the impression that i got)
-
Is Mav still a good company?
-
you know i am reminded by an old saying ''the grass is not always greener on the other side" i have had issues with them but overall yes i would say they are good company

I geuss It's log books that make me nervous. I already have hard enough time understanding them. I'm nervous about getting log violations and running out of hours and such. How are they on running u legal? -
you know when i started it wasn't really that big of deal i was more concerned with load and getting to where i needed to be. when you go out with trainer he will teach you all that so i wouldn't be nervous about that. there will be enough on your plate to lose sleep over just one thing. just do the best you can keep your head up and you will do fine
