I put in my application. I have the experience but it is not recent. I also have a TWIC Card, Hazmat, Tanker, Martin Koch Card and know how to get to the port so maybe I will have a little leverage. Just wondering what kind of company it is. Just hauled a little Anhydrous recently from Beaumont. I believe Kimrad just got a new contract to haul Silica Sand from Brady TX to Dallas and I live in the right place for both trips.

I see quiet a bit of Kimrads trucks up here in the Amarillo area...and surrounding , I dont go down south to much. we have them deliver aspahult to us as well to our drum plants when we run hot mix out of town. A guy I work with , his buddy works at Kimrad and I can pass it along and try to get you a little more info...

I applied for a job but had not driven much in years. I thought I had an excellent chance at the job since I have drove and had some experience at most of Kimrad's operations as well as a perfect record and all the certifications, but I guess insurance or someone did not see it that way.

When did you apply? If you have driven in the last 2 years it should not be a issue. They were really strict several years ago but have relaxed alot since we are growing at a very rapid pace. It is a great place to work and offers more hometime and pay than most. Equipment is top of the line owner/operator spec. give them a call again. If you have any other questions let me know and ill get right back to you. Drive safe!

I applied about a month ago but I have not driven full time in 21 years. Prior to that I drove 6 years. I took a Driving School to get my CDL back and drove just a little part time hauling Anhydrous out of the Port in Beumont TX. I had my TWIC, Tanker, Hazmat, Martin Koch Card, and a perfect record but evidently that was not good enough. I did not even get an interview.

I applied a couple of weeks ago as well...I dont have the 2 years tractor trailer experience they wanted which is why I dont think I got the call back....just gives me time to put more under me and try again.

I have the two years but it is not recent. My opinion is that the Trucking industry wants you to live in a truck for near next to no pay for two years before you start getting good hours and decent pay. They are losing potential good hands like myself who are not willing to do that.
