I'm waiting for the new equipment to come in to LEASE a truck. The recruiter said 30 to 45 more days. Been itching to start on this new adventure in trucking.

Do you have everything in order before you jump off the cliff? At most companies, they won't let you come back to a company position until after a year if it goes downhill. No harm meant if you know everything about the business and the upkeep costs.

Now I understand. Did not read where you were waiting for the new 2014 Lease trucks to come in. Congrats on making that move. Please do not let the naysayers get you down. I friend of mine is also waiting for the new trucks to come in. He is waiting for the Blue KW like mine to come in.

Sure you're right. Who am I? I'm just a messenger. In that case, go for it! Make sure you get that cool $0 down brand new 2014 truck:thumbup:

    Syracuse, NY at the Pilot.

    This is a fun load.
Picked it up and did the loaded call, only to be told my ETA was wrong (and late) and to contact my DM.
Turns out that, while my load assignment had a window of up to 02/20 at 0445 (which gave me just the time I need while recycling hours on my 70), the actual appt time is 02/19 by 1100.

A lot of talk about repowering the load, but nothing else.
As I'm just getting to sleep last night I get a Qcom asking if I'm on time, and to send a Mac22 if not.
I replied that I was delivering 02/20 at 0445 as per my load assignment. I then called a DM in Fontana and explained what was happening.
A couple hours later I get a Qcom asking for my exact location, which I gave. (well, it was 1.5 hours after the message came in, because I was asleep when it came in)
Then I went back to sleep.
Come 'morning' (0340 Eastern) - no word, so I headed out.

I messaged my DM after he came in this morning to tell him where I would be and at what time, in case they needed the load delivered today.
I pulled into Syracuse with 50 miles to go and 13 minutes left on my 70.
Called him and was told to deliver it in the morning as per the load assignment.
Since I'm on Pacific time my hours don't roll in until 0300 here, and that gives me just enough time for the 0445 deadline.

Seems like a lot of the right hand not knowing what the left foot is doing.

    Actually, I do.

I did my job, but someone on the other end did not.

But still, I have time to bake me a potato and some vegies - covered in lots of butter, salt and pepper...
and still get some good sleep before my alarm wakes me up at 0200 for a @#$#$% 0445 delivery time.

Gotta keep the good things foremost...
    And, the shiny side UP!

My comment was for the naysayers that as soon as you say Lease in this forum, they tend to come out, especially those that tend to not have a clue, but seem to know everything

Still here at the Jubitz. Ended up with a 34 after all. The weather became very nice, so got out and walked around this truck stop, and it is large. Thought about a hotel room until I got the price, with CDL discount and the fact that ALL rooms are non-smoking, stay in the truck. Did get a load, and was supposed to get to Lewiston for a student, but was advised, take this load and get a student later. Target to Bozeman for Thursday. They thought that I could get from Bozeman to Lewistaon for a student and still make it home on time for 3/4. I seriously doubt that. Then was told about a student stranded in Troutdale, almost finished with the program, but a non-smoker, and she would not budge, so I guess that she is taking the bus home in the morning. Guess that I will be getting a student now when come off home time, from Columbus. Darn, I might have had one that is already ready to team.
