You can change out the radio but remember one big rule with Millis... DO NOT cut any wires or make any permanent modifications. If you can not return the truck to factory original, don't do it. I know a guy who replaced the stereo and speakers with no issues. I also know of a guy who installed a huge system in the truck and cut holes to install larger speakers, etc, and he was fired for damaging the truck.
That being said, I am in one of the older Freightliners and my stereo didn't have an aux in port on the radio. I installed a modulator behind the stereo and zip tied the aux in port to the dash so I could plug my XM or phone directly into the radio. This is easily removed, even though I may just leave it in the truck for the next driver because all the newer trucks have stereos with aux in ports already. -
Good idea LB. I wasnt going to cut any wires or make holes. I just wanted to know if there were easy ways to add stuff. thanks for the knowledge.

What about adding speakers? Can company drivers add their own boxed speakers as long as they aren't modifying or replacing the original factory speakers in the truck?

Boxed speakers are fine, just do not make any permanent modification to the truck. You have to put the truck back to factory original when you are done ... no holes, drilling, or wire splicing

Good, I don't want anything ridiculous, but I do have some boxed 8 inch speakers that I'd love to have with me on the road. I'm a music freak, and I like to get the full sound out of music. Factory speaker's are great for the high notes, but I'm a bigger fan of the mid's and lows, and factory speakers dont even come close to the range you can get with some custom 6x9 or 8inch boxed speakers.

There's clip on wire splicers that can be removed, only leaves a tiny cut (less than1/8") in the insulation.
would those be ok? You'd have to go over the wiring with a magnifying glass to see where they were previously installed.
