Yeah I saw that. Hope you don't have that stomach virus that's going around here. GF had it. Step-daughter has it. Me? I don't get sick - just clean up after everyone else.
So just curious, MTown: how often do you get an opportunity to stop at the house? -
rarudi Thanks this.
-
That's pretty much what I figured. Thanks, man.
Do you drive the rig right to the homestead, or do you park it elsewhere & get a ride? I could park a tractor in my backyard here in town, but there's no way I'm getting a trailer down my street. (There was some poor kid that somehow got stuck on my street a few months ago - he spent the better part of 4 hours in the middle of the night trying to get turned around. Yeah, the whole neighborhood was thrilled!) I'm thinking of staging a vehicle at my brother's place out by the Gap exit for just such occasions... -
I normally drop my trailer at the hotel right up the street from my house. They have a big parking lot that's rarely full so they let me park it behind the hotel off to the side. I bobtail the trailer home then and park it right outside my house on the street. Myerstown doesn't have any specific laws about parking CMV's on the street but I can't speak for Annville.

Yeah, maybe I can just drop a trailer at the brother's then. If they have an ordinance about street parking here, I'll just park it in the yard. If the Twp Commissioner across the street has a problem with that, I can just mention his out-of-spec busted-up sidewalk and his luxurious tress that hang over the street with less than 14' clearance.
J/K; I'll look into it.
MTownZ Thanks this. -
Hahaha stick it to the man

Ever since I signed on to Millis, I've been keeping a close eye on all the various rigs that pass as I'm going down the highway. Today around noon I finally saw a Millis truck heading north on I83 towards Harrisburg.
Finally, that nagging feeling that all of you have posted here and created a couple other fake websites as a grand scheme to bill my debit card for $103 and roll me for $400 in cash after an 8-hour drive to Ohio has been alleviated.
Call me paranoid...
Speaking of which, what sort of hazing should I be prepared for? Is clean underwear warranted? -
Btw If you want to see MILLIS trucks, I heard a bunch of T700s are always hanging around the KW dealer in Cinci!rarudi Thanks this. -
Dear Commonwealth of Pennsylvania: O, how I loathe thee. I see you cashed my check over a week ago, but you haven't delivered my knowledge test chits yet. I knew I should've hand-carried those items to Harrisburg.
Other than that, boy have things really fallen in line since I made this decision. Had a client come into the office and hand me $200 for no real reason, got another $200 in refund from a credit card processor that I gave up on months ago, just happened across a buyer for my share of an airplane I haven't flown in 2 1/2 years, and figured out that I can retain about 60% of my current income just by checking email on a laptop every other day or so. Personally, I think this is fate telling me I should have done this a long time ago, but patting me on the back anyway.
So much for worrying about bills while getting schooled. Woohoo!
I've got about two more weeks of work servicing clients I won't be able to service while driving, then I'm taking about 4 weeks to myself to get some things done around the house and get some fresh air before heading off to Trenton.
Can't wait to get out there!
