Stuck in Grand Junction, CO. Took a short run just to get out of Denver. Only loads I've seen all day was something that picked up in Wyoming and delivered in Oakland, CA @ midnight. Since I would't go near Oakland @ midnight without a SWAT Team I passed. Then they sent me a preplan for a load that picked up 200 miles away and delivered 2 day later in El Paso. While I was thinking about it (10 min max) they took it off of me. Looks like another crappy week! Cannot wait for spring and for freight to pick up.

    @ T/A off the I95 x 87 in Georgia (Richmond Hill)

was sent 3 pp on my way down here but all p/u 100mi away today and i have 2hrs left on my clock. hmm computer or planner cant do simple math calculation mph/miles.. ohh well, i set my pta out for 6am, i didnt sleep but 2hrs last night, kinda fried today.

woke up this morning and the trucks piled in around me so i couldnt get out, sucked. so i did the austin powers back n forth a million times to get enough swing to get my trlr around and get some fuel, which was a pita, guess the locals guys took them fuel lines up and went in for breakfast as i had to go in and ask fuel desk to have one moved..yea its been a day and im ready to sit on the beach back home, listen to the waves crash while i slam beers..

    Utica, NY at a Walmart.
No truck stops anywhere near here.

Delivered this morning at 0445 then headed to a small truck stop listed in both the truck stop guide and my GPS.
Got there, and there is no room for even a single truck to park. The girl in the store told me that she knows it is listed, but her boss says no way.
And in getting there I was directed by my GPS (RM 510 - a truck GPS) on a road with a (marked) 12' 11" bridge. The sign is only a hundred feet from the bridge, and I slid to a stop because of the snow. Glad I was only going 26 in a 55 zone.
I lucked out. Had it really been 12'11" I would have crushed about 6" of one corner of my trailer. As it was, I had about 4" clearance.

So I headed for the nearest thing, Walmart.

My PTA had been for 0600, but I got a message later on that said it had been reset to 1105. I received it at 1102.
? Why? I thought that I might get a load around that time because of the message.
It is now 1705 and I have yet to receive a pplan.
My 14 just ran out as well.

I know, they are planning to send me a plan just as I fall asleep, expecting me to drive all night after being up all day.

And my last two pplans have had an origin in VA, the last being this morning a couple hours after my empty call in NY (with mt miles of 54).
I think some planners are on crack, or something.

    Zukimart Thanks this.
