U should apply now G-Money, As far as foodservice jobs go this one is easy. They are hiring right now for the Newnan Ga MBM. The pay varies depending on what route u have. some routes pay 60,000 per year while some routes pay 80,000 or more per year. for your first few months u will be on the extra board, meaning u won't have a route. but u will b busy running other drivers routes who are on vacation, out sick etc. u will not make less than 60,000 your fist year. u will b in the 70,000 dollar range by your second year. All the unloading is done with liftgates and electric pallet jacks.

    G-Money Thanks this.

I don't know which MBM this guy worked for, but in 5 years i have never been laid off, and i'm home five nights a week and off two days a week. unless i volunteer to run an extra route.

I guess I am lucky in that I have two MBM's within 20 minutes of me. Lakeland, Fl and Haines City, Fl. I'd love to get away from OTR but at 51 I am hesitant to try it. I'd probably do ok with everything except ramp work. Anyone know what type offloading Lakeland and Haines City offer? Thx.

Haines City is all liftgates and electric pallet jacks like Newnan. Not sure about Lakeland.
