thank you for the info...prime will go on my list of places for a newbie looking for a school to consider. sounds like a deal. of course the pay means nothing if you dont get the miles, but thats kind of a crap shoot no matter where you decide to go, and ive heard mostly good things about prime in general anyhow.

FamilyMan/anyone,
If you choose to let Prime "pay the training bill" when will the one year contractual commitment start/end?
Thanks.

For me, the countdown began my second day here. Yesterday (My second day here) Is when my contract start date begun.SatelliteSender and snowman1 Thank this. -
In my opinion Prime is a GREAT deal while in training and after you graduate and go solo.....or team. Like I mentioned in previous post... everyone else I called, starting pay is at the most .27cpm for the first year. Do the math! Listed below is what you get at Prime. Paid training and what you get paid kinda makes it a no brainer!
This is what was sent to me after I completed my application.
P.S.
If you want an amazing recruiter, don't forget to P.M. me so I can get you her contact info! Get this info BEFORE you apply online!!!

When you test out, is this done at Prime by the instructors? Or do you go to a state testing station?

The year starts when you pass your upgrade test after you finish training.
All CDL testing is overseen by MODOT.
80,000 lb trucks get crappy fuel mileage at 65, and even worse mileage with a new driver at the wheel. Fuel is the number one controllable cost in trucking, and the way to keep it in check is to slow down. 58 on the pedal, 62 on cruise. We're here to make money, not to stroke your ego.
Please read the entire "What to Expect..." thread docked at the top of the Prime forum.Bigdubber and SatelliteSender Thank this. -
I have my CDL but no otr experience. Was wondering how prime would start me out. Central Fla. resident. Thanks
