Drove for Crete for 2 1/2 years. The only thing i have to say good about the company is pay rate a mile is descent. But you cant make no money if your not getting no miles. Loved how they would give u a 1000 mile run up to the NE then make you do b**** work for the next 2 weeks up in the NE making no money. Had to tell them you wanted to go home to get you out of the area.

Crete Carrier sucks for getting home. They don't give a rip about you or your family. They treat all employees driver or not like crap. On the other hand they keep their equipment in top shape. You will drive 100% legal. You will never sit as they always have freight. After 5 years there I am sick of the way they micromanage every aspect of your life, and looking for a new situation.

They do not have consist miles

While there may be instances of this, I have not found this to be true of my current asset manager. Been home on-time every time, and even took an extra day of vacation due to some issues with a house we're purchasing. Now my first AM? Yeah...problems.
Can't argue with the rest of the post, though. -
Hehe, the good ole cow pasture. You're not smelling the ranch next door, you're smelling the lot you're sitting in. It used to be part of the cow pasture. Unfortunately, my company recently started using it, but you don't have to sit in there, and actually aren't supposed to sit in there. Plenty of places to park within 15 minutes.

I was sitting in Lincoln waiting on some safety stuff and another driver came in. In the course of the conversation it came out with the person from safety that his granddaughter had passed the night before. Everything stopped and the driver had a flight home to take care of his family in less than 20 minutes. I hope I never need the company to help me in that manner but glad to know they will.

A Crete driver was pre planned on an extremely short load that picked up on the Crete yard in Indianapolis, In. He gets to the shipper and does a mid trip inspection on the tractor. He finds that the tractor needs brake shoes. The drivers sends a message to Lincoln explaining this issue. The load is T-called off of the driver due to time limits. The load delivered 3 hours later 90 miles away and the shop was about to close. When that driver's fleet manager heard that the driver had put the truck in the shop, the fleet manager assumed that he did it because he didn't want to do that 90 mile run. From that point the fleet manager made sure that this driver received nothing but short runs.
