Exhaust wrap - well it didn't make very much of a improvement to the EGT,s if at all. After various loads monitoring the pyro I have to say that the exhaust wrap may have lowered EGT,s by 2 to 4 degrees C maybe a digital pyro would allow for better monitoring. The wrap did reduce exhaust noise so for me that makes it worth using.

    x#1 Thanks this.

Goto the products section and you can find pricing. The T6 blanket I got in July is the same price now.... $149.95

None of them have EGT controlled ECM, they are just tuned safe from the factory, as is US engines no matter what HP rating, fleet or O/O. Useless gauges until you start to mess with fuel settings.

Our Volvo D16 610hp on heavy haul used to overheat the heads on the exhaust side.
We had some arguments with Volvo about this as they maintained that if the EGT got to hot the ECM would dial back on fuel delivery.
This is where I got my info .
Regardless of this the only way we sorted this was to put free flow exhausts and larger air cleaners on these trucks.

No Donaldson M100463 in Australia, I got a phone call from my parts shop today, I have to wait another 30days for 1 to come from the USA. So 60 days in total from when I ordered it to when I should get it. Oh well at least I'm getting exactly what I want.

Finally got my Donaldson M100463. Luv it and exhaust sounds great and EGT are lower by about 100 degrees f under a hard pull.

I see they also quote 60 days then take an extra few weeks.
I just got quoted 10 weeks on some container lifting lugs as they must come out of Europe.
These are small items that would cost minimal to air freight , but no its their policy to sea freight.

Good to hear about the results I was thinking of getting a couple M100463 myself , not sure if we can get them off the shelf here but will let you know how long it takes me if I order.

Good luck, hopefully it won't take too long to ship. I've already had a few mates comment on the new exhaust sound. I forgot to mention that the turbo spins up a little bit quicker after installing the M100463.

The Donaldson is a great muffler. I only opted for the Walker Megaflow because the warranty was longer (lifetime) and I liked the way they designed the top of them and zinc plated to help prevent corrosion. Got two of them delivered to the house for a total cost of $229.
