Herd the rumors...didn't believe it til I saw a re-branded unit today at the T.S..... Enterprise sold chemical division to Transport Service Co....darn kids anyway. The man that started Enterprise was a driver and he built a fine co. Had I ever lost the pvt. fleet job then they would have been my first stop. The owner recently passed away and the kids got control and well here you go....another good one bites the dust.
Didn't mean to rant....and you would have to be in the business to understand the difference between Enterprise and say Trimac etc. No real comparison. I believe they still had a pension plan and I know they had lifetime LTD. No one on the common carrier side could touch their goodie package.
Only good part ( if you believe TSC mgmt ) is they won't change anything for a year. ( other than the name on the doors ) but somehow, I doubt it. I've heard "it will be ok" too many times in the past.
Time will tell.....
Enterprise ....

Well Kag who owns TSC looks out for it's investors, not drivers.Money is the bottom line.
My condolences. -
They rent space/office from Dana here locally and the whats left of the drivers are NOT even a little bit happy.
-
The key is to find a company who views drivers and equipment as a way to achieve a healthy bottom line, not as a hindrance to one. -
was crude oil fleet in texas sold also? i recall some of the trailers were marked enterprise crude oil llc or
something like that. (san antonio area) -
We were told that Enterprise only sold the chemical side. They kept crude oil and the lp gas. We also had some new trailers that went back to Texas, and one driver lost his truck to crude oil. It was a new Volvo and he had only had it two months. That kinda sucked.

Correction: Enterprise Crude Oil (gray Petes) is still hauling. Transport Service Co / Kenan Advantage Group is hauling crude in place of the former Enterprise Transportation Co. crude trucks (blue & white Internationals).Last edited: Feb 23, 2013
pathfinder1361 Thanks this. -
I'm glad I didn't pick up and move to Texas for a crude oil job.

the pension contribution and 401 k plan no longer exist.

we are now just another trucking company. the pay package is below average and the benefits are unremarkable. we do have an abusive CentralDispatch team that knows you as a truck number and treats you like an indentured servant. The training company I started with treated newbies with more respect.
