Getting started in trucking

I am just getting started in trucking.I will actually be graduating truck driving school tomorrow and getting my CDL.I spent the last 26 years working on boats on the Mississippi River system.I found this site while checking out truck driving companies and have found it very helpful and informative.
I am almost 50 years old and it is a big step in my life.I have done some driving on the farm and drove cement trucks 30 years ago.Now I'm looking to go OTR and see the country through a windshield.My wife and family have been very supportive of this decision.

 

After @ years out here I am doing OTR with a tanker.Loving it and have ran from Coast to Coast! It was a big change for me doing a job change at nearly 50 years of age. I'm loving it now.
