I just had the ABS computer replaced on my 2010 Great Dane. The wheel sensors were OHM tested and showed good and the new computer turned the light off for about 800 miles.
    Now it is back on.

If i unplug the 2 sensor wires from the computer and plug them back in it clears for another few hours.

Any ideas? Tired of dragging it to a shop!

    May be loose wheel bearings.

You have new international with digital dashboard. if you use trailer ABS cabel with CAN try to read fault codes from dashboard.

TABS/TEBS fault codes start with MID 137

ok, I sugest bad pole rings, bad connections, loose bearings, bad ABS power supply cabel....

What brand is ABS ore EBS unit do you have? what part #? I sugest 2s/2m configuration, but there were 4s/2m and 4s/4m units too!

My dash driver display does not have the code reading feature.

    It is a Meritor-Wabco system.

It is about due a brake job so i guess i will have them check it out and go ahead and do the brakes.
In the meantime i will clean the connections on the sensors up and check the power supply.

on some systems plugging and unplugging the power cord 3 times will make it give you a flashing fault code with the light on the side of the trailer. It is usually a 2 digit sequence, like 2 flashes and 4 flashes, and will repeat that sequence 2 or 3 times.

EZ , this is a simple , but often over looked issue. That the nose plug check that the center prong is making good contact with the pig tail. The prongs get smushed together. Take a small screw driver and spread them out . The center one carries the abs . Some terminal cleaner also helps. If no help the air gap to a wheel speed sensor and the tone ring may be to large . Some axles you can reach and slide the sensor in a tad.

either there is ice on the sensors, or wheel bearings are leaking and dripping oil onto sensor setting off the sensor.

Really US version of trailer ABS differs. in Europe no blink codes. To pull codes trailer CAN ore KWP2000 (ISO9141) is used. US version is not only 12V, but.... they use J1708/1587 for diagnostics and they use blink codes. Power supply is four wires, and brake lamp is connected like on EBS. Pneumatics are the same with Europe. Really this ABS unit is made in Wrozlaw, Poland

    I was getting 4 then 6 blinks....now 4 then 4.
Talked to the shop and they want to do the brake job and check wheel bearings.
If it stops raining i will see if the sensors will push in a little and clean all connections.
The pigtail will get checked too...

    Thanks for the info guys!
