Well, I guess they haven't figured how to plant it on pike peak yet, but from here to the east i believe it's as dry as most other places that I know. Hopefully this snow will give a little help, it was pretty dry and fluffy here but I've heard it seemed a little heavier towards Kansas.

Well the weather man missed it by a long shot, it started out coming down really heavy for a few hours and maybe got a couple 2-3" and than just a nice snow most of the day yesterday and tapered off around 7pm a total of 5".. Not the 10-14" like everyone else got and all our friends in KS and MO. Schools and business are still closed today for some reason, that is okay as I'm sure most people are enjoyed the long 4 day weekend. We are supposed to get 2-4" again on Sunday.

Wheathauler by what the news is saying I'm sure there is not much going on in your neck of the woods for a few days besides digging out from all the snow.

This was probably the slowest week we have had, I sure hope things pick up soon for everyone. I keep seeing fuel prices going up and what freight is out there the rates are the lowest I have seen them since 2008-2009. I keep saying it has got to pick back up including the rates as I really can't see how it can get any worse than it is now, but it usually does bottom out before things get better in the past so hopefully that is what we are experiencing right now?

Yeah, still digging out. Used snow blower to clean out the driveway. Then dumb *%### snow plow driver comes by and blocks my driveway with snow.

Only thing going here is feedlots. I sure hate to go there the next week. This snow will turn them into mud pits.

Yep they sure will be too. I know Wednesday with the snow in the forecast they were needing truck to haul corn into the feedlots afraid they would get low but the rates were still low and I talked to a guy yesterday that said nobody was hauling into them cuz the rates and didn't want to get out in it so the guys that were hauling in were just loading them up to the rim as full as the could get them and roll with it, spilling corn out on the ground when they rolled the tarps back over. Not the smartest thing to do but I guess some guys will do anything these days. It don't pay enough in my opinion to do that as the fines would be steep and I'm sure you would be on your own if that would happen plus it is so hard on your equipment like that with the conditions and going into those feedlots. I wish some guys would learn the word NO and quit hauling it like that.

Least you have a snow blower. Ugh. State plow did the same to us but we hadn't got to the end yet. He just piled it up higher. Luckily some random guy in a bobcat came driving by and cleared that part for us.

I got a email this morning from a shipper in CO that my two trucks loaded at last week that got shut gown for a couple days in KS last week and he said KS was supposed to get another 6-12" again Monday and Tuesday. I'm sure you need the moisture but it sure gets old fast too having to dig yourself out and than it also makes business worse to as nothing going on until they get things opened up and than you get another good storm.

Here we only got around 5" and sunny day today and roads are already clear and dry.
