I know what you say is partially tongue in cheek, but let me make a serious suggestion.
Send an email to each of the family. Make sure it is polite and concise. Professional.
Simply ask they add a cue for Produce and Meat. This will cost them nothing and acutally increase productivity. All the time spent gandy dancing around phone calls will reduce waiting time for callers, lessen demands on staff, allowing them to concentrate on immediate needs rather than chasing phone calls, and lessen the calls from drivers on the customer lines, giving better service to the customers.

I really could care less about the phones, I just want freight. Good freight at that.
Miles have gotten pathetic.. -
I must just keep ending up in the right place because I am still getting plenty of miles. I know you are training so you need more that I do, but other than a reset in Cali last month and one last week in Michigan I have been running.every day this year.
I hope things pick up for you. -
Back on the rd. Yard was fun today. Waited a hour and a half to get my cruise turned on, but I'm back out in the field nonetheless. First run back, Cambell's to Cheyenne. Yippie arg barf!
Any how was a very long week and glad to be back in the saddle. -
I hear ya on the miles, I emptied out in Ochelata OK yesterday morning and got dead headed to Guymon for a load that goes to So Cal. DLD 2-25 WTF.

KMac, mistermino does not 'need' more miles than you do, cost for him is the same as yours. He trains because he 'wants' more miles which equals more money. Stevens has a bad habit of 'screwing' all their other drivers to cater to their trainers, maybe things are finally turning around!!KMac Thanks this.

I've only had three good weeks since before Christmas. Had a long meeting with Juan and Rodd while I was at the yard and I only see that Stevens is happy with me making $23k my first full year. So am I training to get more miles? Hail yeah. Or why else would I work here?

I really meant "need" in the sense he has a student trying to get to 8500 miles. Of course we all need them.
I personally have not had a week under 2400 miles since I left the yard at the end of Dec. I will have 3500 in 8 days when I am done delivering this load. So again, no complaints. -

LOL, Student is on truck for 5 weeks, 5 wks X 2000mi per wk = 10,000mi. I know that's not the way it is supposed to work, & no one would continue training if they continually got 2000mi weeks, but ya gotta admit, Stevens has their ### covered on the miles he's getting. Hubby & I had several weeks during our last 3 months that we got only about 2400-2500mi. Totally unacceptable as a full team, but as long as we made our lease payments Stevens didn't care!!KMac Thanks this.
