I would hope so. I would hate think they would fly you up there and then fly you back home.

I had my meeting with Don Wilson on Tuesday and he called me today to let me know I am officially hired! I have to go to Nor Cal and bring my HD and pickup to Texas first, so I will start on March 11th.
Thanks to all of you on this forum, without your input I would probably not have even considered FRE. I will do my part in keeping this company and their equipment in a good light. I look forward to meeting all of you. This will be the smallest company I have worked for. -
Congrats man on being hired, be safe, I didnt know that they are going to fly me out. FRE seems descent, heard to smaller ones are the best to drive for, not so much student focused and dont get the goverment kickbacks that the big boys do
Bumper Thanks this. -
Thanks Dan, same to you! I think it depends upon where you live. I am in South Texas so I am quite a ways from Denver.

I was on a load going to Chamberlain, SD. Held up in Cheyenne yesterday after getting a valve stem fixed and DOT tape put on the bumper of the trailer. By the time I got out of the TA in Cheyenne, the roads up through Nebraska were getting dicey. So, I stayed at the Pilot. Got a call this morning from Greg saying the customer does not accept deliveries on Saturdays, so head to the yard and drop it. On my way down, I got a load out of Center, CO. I was supposed to take that load to Oklahoma City and swap with a driver so he can have home time. I didn't get loaded and signed out until 1830 tonight. I held up at the Loaf and Jug in Alamosa, CO due to snow and ice over La Veta Pass on us160. Now, I am swapping loads with a team. I am taking their load tomorrow going to Montgomery, AL. Does not deliver until the 27th. I should be able to drop in New Albany on Sunday. Hopefully.

I think this latest storm has really put the hurt on dispatchers and load planners. They have no idea when we will be able to move and how far we can get.
Luckily I am still down in Corpus Christi and don't have to be in Denver until Monday. I hope it is all gone by then. -
well the bad news is that another storm is suposed to hit denver sometime on sunday/blizzard like conditions...welcome aboard bumper and daniel1988...this is a great place to work.it gets a little crazy at times but just remember its a new company and they are just learning the buisness.ive been here right at a year and cant see driving for anyone else.if any of u need help with something or any questions this is the place to ask.it would also be good to get a couple of phone #s from a couple of drivers so u can call someone with answers to a quick question...just my opinion...it wont be long before a driver will have to wait awhile before a seat opens up at fre,its going to be hard to get on.great group of guys here, don has done a good job picking drivers
Bumper Thanks this. -
i had 3 picks with this load, every place was a chicken farm.2nd pick was in laurel ms where the sirens were going off[tornado warnings].i new something had to be up when it was 67 degrees at 11pm.now i am heading back to cold denver.just in time to catch the next storm.life of an fre driver...where are u gopher,i need a good laugh
