The Freightliner Century Class Workshop Manual gives very detailed instructions regarding, repair/safety procedures on all aspects of an '02 C class. I reccomend you reccomend it to your friend. I have one, its cool.

In order to help others who come here wondering HOW to replace the door hinges here are some photo's to help you with what you have to take off.
Interior pillar trim piece has to come out, there's three nuts back there, use a magnet to magnetize your socket or you'll lose the nuts. To get that pillar off you also have to take out that vent. Take off the trim piece for your utility light and there's a screw under there then there are finger hooks on the vent that kind of go up and under the dash pad.
That takes off the bolts you can't see on the outside pillar trim. Then take the bottom cover off and you'll be able to get to all the hinge bolts. We took 3 people to do this so that we didn't have to take out the wiring in the door. -
I use to mark them with paint to fit on place. sometimes it is pain to install door w/o exessive gap
