This is true Mic. I have heard them all. Looks like i will be meeting them end of next week. One thing that i also like very much are refrigerators in the truck. I have a 1500w road pro inverter also. Hopefully that wont be a problem. Refrigerator and microwave to me equals SAVINGS. wish i could get back half the money i spent on #*@# food in trucks stops.

Over my 10 year career I have learned no matter who you work for there will always be some kind of problems, Before I applied to Van Wyk I spend 4 months doing my research on them and other companies but my main goal was to find a small company, to have that family atmosphere. The stuff going on in Va lately I don't worry about it that much a lot of things would have to go down south for me to start looking for a new job. In your orientation in Shelton youll meet everyone in the office and at the end you'll meet your dispatcher and Mike who's a GM.

I had second thoughts for a bit. I am still sticking with it. Plan on heading down to Waynesboro early this week to grab a truck. Then head out to Sheldon. I dont expect much since it is trucking. But i am expecting a very decent truck. It has been a long time since i have been in a good truck. Since i turned in my t2000 back in June.

Just my 2cents I use this forum to blow off a lil steam and make my Co workers aware of an issue but I still like VW very much. Angie is my dispatcher and I absolutely love her and Sherrie is great as well. You won't be sorry you came here.

And sit in the bull pen...or at least give me a close hiddey hole? Cause appts 12hrs apart are stupid...plus I want to know if I can park at sysco in suffolk or at least a close place to hide there cause that appt is on wedsnday....

Nasty Fish will not let you on the lot more than one hour prior to your appointment, once you roll in there you'll see why. Their lumper service is ungodly slow and you're always guaranteed at least a few hours of detention time there. Negative on parking at Sysco either, Suffolk Parking Gestapo will nab you if you try to park on Harbor. There is a Wally World at that exit but if I remember right they have the yellow poles of doom over the entrance and the truck area around is mighty tight. Really your only choices for designated truck parking is either Big Charlie's or there is a little dump off in the bushes on 664 & Military if I'm not mistaken. I'm sure there's some super secret hiding spots but none that I'm aware of.

    Mic Thanks this.
