Think I'm going bounce on up to Newcomerstown, OH for the day. Then it's just a crooked, hilly drive in the morning to the oil rig.
Where is everyone?

Sometimes I'd rather the snow on the roadway than them to clear most of it out and everyone pack it down into 2 slick tracks in the lane. At least on the snow I can get traction
-
I was driving on the snowy part of the highways the other day because the ruts from others were all ice! I was doing 50-60 mph and was fine. Only had 2036lbs on the step too! I love driving in snow, its something different.

I will add one thing, that Kansas turnpike is verywell taken care of when it comes to plowing and salting!
-
Yeah, but I'm not paying for company tolls.

Very true! Its only 12.75 so if I was an O/O it would have been money well spent on Friday morning just after that storm. Nice clean and clear. More then I can say for the rest of my route on that trip.

Well, rig site foreman called and said come on in..... So here I sit in BFE waiting to get unloaded. Guys on site are not happy we are here, but oh well I guess.
I do feel this will be the LAST time I haul pipe to a rig site. Getting here always a nightmare, as Yeah this place is the worst site I've ever been to. I ran over 3 stop signs and knocked over a porta-potty on my way into the place (granted the signs were little mobile ones. UGH!!!whoopNride, Logan76, aiwiron and 1 other person Thank this. -
Sat in N Las Vegas still.
Just got a call from one of our HH guys...
Dave, who was pulling the generator out here that goes under my enclosure, blew a HG in Evanston,Wy.
So Jeff, in another 4 axle truck grabbed his load and started heading down here to Vegas. Then Jeff discovers he is puking oil into the coolant header tank!
Now my name is getting banded about to repower the load, for the 3rd time! Not sure how this will pan out, unless I can go into the receiver tomorrow and drop my trailer, then BT back up here for the heavy one and take it down there......

Went and saw a rat, fairies and princesses yesterday instead of Big and Rich, beer and BBQ at Sea World. 89 degrees set a new high here in Orlando yesterday. Good times. FYI, tractor trailer parking at Disney is only $18 a day. We paid 15 in the car.
