I am signing lease later this month and planning to go for the cpm. I have been reading the forums here and now would like some info if any of you are set on percentage and if it is working for you?

There are only a handful of people in the flatbed I/C division that is on percentage. Our rates vary customer to customer, so it depends on who or what your hauling. Cheap freight might cause you issues specially when you don't know what the loads are being booked at glowstickz. On the CPM plan you can calculate your pay rate for the amount of miles being ran and the fuel surcharge. Which again varies every week. Aswell I believe fuel surcharge is worked into the percentage so you don't get it like I would on CPM.

Also, check on permitting to. I know on percentage there are a couple things Roehl does not cover while on CPM they do. Ask Jeff or which ever I/C recruiter your dealing with for comparisons on the benefits. When I signed on he didn't have alot of details so hopefully by now he does.

Sorry it has been a while since i posted this. I did talk to Jeff and he told me that the few IC's that went with % have switched to cpm. He said all of them found that the better way to go. so that is what im doing thanks for the reply.
