Wow, Covenant sure has changed (for the better, it seems) since 1999. That's pretty good pay for a first year otr trucker. Even better for the second year, provided the miles are there.

for people going over there that didn't train there I know if you got less than a yr experience , and no hazmat team, it is 16.5 cents.
a hazmat endorsed partner, and you got your hazmat , 19.5 ¢

still is pretty gay. team with strangers you never met before. most people smoke.
i don't. I worked there last summer. my last team co-driver was cool at first but after a while he started playing MLK jr audio cd's (yeah he was African American obviously) and I told him I didn't feel comfortable hearing all that and he told me what happened 40 - 50 + years ago was my fault too because I am white. yeah I don't work there anymore

Yeah Im already working there, and the partner thing has been a big pain in the ###. I have 4 months solo previous and it definitely has its luxuries. The good thing is 19 cents a mile so if you and your partner are an A-Team you are running 5000-7000 miles a week, its like being 38 cents solo. But I dont for see my self staying with a team company for very long as of right now, but my mind could change. I think theres a reason why most drivers run solo, and most companies are solo companies..

yes you are right, some weeks, if things go good, and you both got hazmat like you are saying yeah you can make some $1,000 weeks. at that time i only had like 3 months experience , when i went to covenant.. see i trained at swift then quit. cause i was making a quarter a mile in 2012 solo. layovers for three days no pay. covenant was not all that bad, if you could find a like-minded co-pilot. checking out at chattanooga was pretty gay if u ever were forced to stop there. gotta get signed off by each dept.

any how. this dude ''ray sokohl'' been calling me trying to get me to come back. just randomly. last week. said since i been working the last year at knight solo, i would make 19.5 cents with a non-hazmat co-pilot. 22.5 cents with. but i was like nah. i had some really bad experiences, man.

nice trucks though. miss those new freightliners. at knight, those cheap ######## buy internationals with only 1 hood mirror on them. why can't we get both?

so i had to choose between PTL, Covenant, and Arnold. cause I got fired from KNIGHT for non-moving reasons in May. so I guess I will go to Arnold. solo. what do you think.

Hey Mr.Speaker, are you a Cov driver? I am solo, have been driving for them for over 5 yrs now. For the last 2 yrs have been paid between 31 to 32 cpm + some Performance bonus that is paid once a yr on my seniority date and it's based on evaluation and then calculated according to some equation.... :biggrin_25526: Don't know yet how much exactly I am being paid this yr... Was told I topped out. Will find out once I check my payroll info next week. But I wonder if it will be more than 35 cpm...

I don't work there anymore. I talked to a guy at the Pomona terminal who had been with Covenant for 10+ years and he told me the top pay for solo is .36 cpm base .. I don't know if he was under the per diem plan or not.

That's 5,000 miles a wk ,split that with co.driver ,that's 2500 miles a wk at 19cpm ....that's not good ,you could do that much running solo for like 35cpm ....
