I'm sorry this happened to you driver... sadly Werner has been this way for a long time... Don't let this discourge you tho you keep pushing on... I started with werner over 4 years and there were days I wanted to slit my trainers throat in his sleep... I didn't go thru nearly as bad as what you went thru but It was bad enough... After all the BS tho I got my own truck and moved on to bigger and better things... just keep your chin up!

 

Stay away from Werner? Duh! Do people read the Werner threads? Welcome to the miserable world of OTR trucking! You all can have it!

 

Werner on the bad boy list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SAY IT ISN'T SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway for the op,you sound like you're a bit too high strung and emotional for trucking.When you complained to your SDM what was your tone like?Companies don't take too kindly to yelling.

 

I thought I was done dealing with Werner when I left my previous employer (we were a power only contractor with Werner) but my current company, Munoz Trucking has picked up a few runs from Werner as a power only operator, so we will pull Werner trailers once in a while. My father in law works for Munoz as well and is pulling his first Werner trailer. He asked me if they were all as worn out as the one he's pulling since I pulled Werner trailers at my old job. I said that Werner trailers stay new for about 5 minutes after they are delivered from the manufacturer, lol.

I tried to get out but they keep pulling me back in! LOL!

 

Otr to me is like a long camping trip ....you get paid for....ive been bit...stung...what not...its gonna happen....allergic no...but maybe the spider was a sign...a heads up to rethink your occupation ...this way of life isn't for everyone...you can change the color of you're truck...but the spiders don't care ....you will still get bit eventually ...good luck...

 

they update their equipment pretty well,especially their tractors... the trlr's are ragged out sometimes from having too many student drivers that do alot of stupid stuff like sliding the tandems by dragging the trlr without the trk/trlr being straight and/or repeated general abuse and students not getting repairs done when they should be due to no pretrip or not caring.

 

Only idiots consider going to work for an employer like Werner, so it's not like the talent pool is real deep.
