We have had good luck with Delta Truck Center in French Camp... Probably too late to get your truck there, but they have been honest with us, and sort of quick.

yeah but atleast you planned ahead and have a cushion allowance to fall back, or I bet you'd be missing driving way more by now. I remember when my dad took me on a run to Hammond Louisiana, and his truck broke down in New Albany and we had to sit 3 days in a hotel. As a 7 year old, it was fun to me...the hotel had a pool and free breakfast lol, but I'm pretty sure it hurt my father's wallet pretty bad and he wasn't enjoying a single minute of it

I'm not. My father was a trucker for 40 years, OTR and then later Southeast regional. He drove a tanker for Borden's Chemical. He would take me on some of his runs with him, about once a month or once every 2 months. I remember hiding in the back of his cab when we would pull into weigh stations since I was old enough to walk lol. Before I even knew what a phone was, I remember playing on the CB as a 3 year old and pretending the trucker on the other end was Smoky from Smoky and the Bandit. I wish he was still around to teach me stuff like backing and trip-logging, among many other things in life, but he died last year.

a three year old operating a cb? sounds a little hard to believe. plus isnt it illegal to sneak your child into your truck?

Wtf? Alright dude, I don't know why you want to argue about this, but I'm not going to sit here and bicker with someone that knows absolutely nothing about me. As for operating a CB as a 3 year old, my father would hold the mic and let me talk into it. Hell, by the time I was 4 or 5 I had already figured out how how to turn it to channel 19 and hold the #### mic myself. I've seen kids that young these days operating smartphones and ipads these days, and a CB isn't very difficult to operate at all.

As for the legalities, I have no idea. I know I always had to hide at weigh stations, and also when we pulled into factories to unload. This was also during the 80's, and things in the trucking world were a bit different and less strict than today, so it was probably easier to get away with. Nowadays they have cameras in trucks, more security at companies and factories, etc etc.

When you are at a place like Nestle or Sam Adams, do you have any time to get out and walk around and maybe take a tour of part of the facility or anything? That would be awesome
