We have had good luck with Delta Truck Center in French Camp... Probably too late to get your truck there, but they have been honest with us, and sort of quick.

I thought you said you wasnt a trucker yet huckster?
-
I'm not. My father was a trucker for 40 years, OTR and then later Southeast regional. He drove a tanker for Borden's Chemical. He would take me on some of his runs with him, about once a month or once every 2 months. I remember hiding in the back of his cab when we would pull into weigh stations since I was old enough to walk lol. Before I even knew what a phone was, I remember playing on the CB as a 3 year old and pretending the trucker on the other end was Smoky from Smoky and the Bandit. I wish he was still around to teach me stuff like backing and trip-logging, among many other things in life, but he died last year.

a three year old operating a cb? sounds a little hard to believe. plus isnt it illegal to sneak your child into your truck?
-
Wtf? Alright dude, I don't know why you want to argue about this, but I'm not going to sit here and bicker with someone that knows absolutely nothing about me. As for operating a CB as a 3 year old, my father would hold the mic and let me talk into it. Hell, by the time I was 4 or 5 I had already figured out how how to turn it to channel 19 and hold the #### mic myself. I've seen kids that young these days operating smartphones and ipads these days, and a CB isn't very difficult to operate at all.
As for the legalities, I have no idea. I know I always had to hide at weigh stations, and also when we pulled into factories to unload. This was also during the 80's, and things in the trucking world were a bit different and less strict than today, so it was probably easier to get away with. Nowadays they have cameras in trucks, more security at companies and factories, etc etc.Lady K Thanks this. -
