So you have a FL title yet you live in TX and lease in MI? Call OOIDA and maybe they can sort it out. I don't understand why FL wouldn't give you a temp tag with a Texas address. I've run new to me trucks from MN to FL on the intransit tag without any issues.

Whatever you do make sure you are legal in FL, they will check. Maybe drop in at at a near by scale and ask what he would want to see.

I was unleased for a while due a medical condition. I was home in Calif. rehabing and the truck was in Neb. They (Neb) issued me a hunter's permit good for 30 days. I think it was around $35. Had no problems getting it home.

Thankfully we worked things out and the company we are leasing on to is sending us a temp tag.
