No, the light comes on when you turn you key to the on position to show it's working. It is a malfunction indicator, so if it's coming on when you hit your brakes, your ABS is not working.

Turn your squelch all the way to the right ...then set your rf gain in the middle...works for me ... They have to be right on top of you for you to hear them
